Chris Brown ft. Aaliyah – They Don’t Know (Official Behind The Scenes)

With “Fine China” garnering widely positive reviews Chris Brown has announced that Aaliyah will feature on the next single for his sixth studio album X.

Entitled “They Don’t Know”, the song features never-before-heard vocals from the late songstress. Chris revealed the news to reporters at the BET Awards 2013 press conference on earlier today. “I got something special for my fans. It’s called ‘They Don’t Know”. All new stuff that’s never been heard before, it’s something special for all my fans.”

The singer shot a video for the song in L.A. on the weekend and explained the concept to HollywoodLife. “I shot it in the hood, I wanted to bring both worlds together in the video and try to uplift the positive side of the community. I mean I come from Virginia, but everyone come from a broken home or broke, I remember when I was!”

A six-second snippet of the song was posted on Vine, and while it’s a little premature to judge it sounds like Chris has another hit on his hands, with Aaliyah’s lush vocals and the heavy beat complimenting each other perfectly.

Chris’ upcoming album X will be released on July 16, and boasts guest features from Nicki Minaj and Kendrick Lamar, with production from Pharrell, Timbaland, Drumma Boy and Polow Da Don.

Solange Knowles featuring Kendrick Lamar – Looks Good with Trouble

The Compton rapper has just joined forces with the lovely Solange Knowles for her new single “Looks Good with Trouble.” An original version of the song was featured on her True EP, but the songstress now adds a more timid vibe to this new take while Kendrick serves listeners with some food for thought.  This song is full of chilled synths which have been greatly tweaked and expanded to create a slightly eery but soothing sound. K-Dot fits in perfectly, providing a flowing account of heartache in London as well as his listening to of Huddersfield’s finest, James Mason.
