We revisit the Aip and Chimp Portfolio for one of their biggest projects to date. Elephants is an independent feature film that’s said to bring to light “5 illusions of the human race.” Leaning heavily on political ideology of governmental human sedation policies & conspiracies; This is a creative jump compared to the pair’s other work of urban short films and music videos. Subsequently the duo feels it is time to release the brainchild to the world as an obligation to the community.

Aip and Chimp Filmz are currently in their funding phase, screening trailers and their kickstarter video to gain as much support as possible for this film. Donations are accepted on the film site with the completion of a provided form. In it’s completion the feature film is set to release the coming Spring of 2014 with a goal of 50k to close.

CGI VFX Short Film HD: “The Origin of Creatures” by Floris Kaayk

An awesomely creepy animated short film by the talented Filmmaker, and Visual artist Floris Kaayk! A futuristic vision of a world after a catastrophic disaster. In this dark parable mutated limbs are looking for cooperation, but due to miscommunication this mission is doomed to fail.

The storyline of The Origin of Creatures is based on one of the most well-known tales about collaboration, the Tower of Babel. This tale is transformed and twisted and is set in an imaginary future, after the world is hit by a catastrophe. Among the remains of a devastated city lives that what is left of humanity. Human bodies are divided into separated parts of the body and are fused to special beings. Together, these creatures form a colony, they can only survive when collaborating. In the rubble of destroyed buildings they are trying to build a nest as large and as high as possible, so that the colony’s queen gets enough sunlight to reproduce, but due to miscommunication this mission is doomed to fail.

Laura Mvula – She [+worried about festival stages]

Music video by Laura Mvula performing She. (C) 2013 Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited

The Brummie jazzer worried her album Sing To The Moon was “too intimate” to work on big stages.

Laura, 27, said: “I never went to festivals before playing them, and I thought the crowds would only want raucous music. Some jazz crowds can be a little too polite. I love how people were whooping for me.”
