Chambersburg, PA’s, THE SHACKELTONS release their first single “Call-Call” Sept 30th off of their upcoming album Records on Think Loud entertainment. Phily’s WXPN premeired the track online and on-air today. The band has been gearing up for the new album release in early 2014 with a handful of their legendary live shows lead by the preacher-like lead vocalist Mark Redding. With a foundation of a crack rhythm section, dueling guitars, the occasional blast of horns, and Redding’s manic tales of love for lost family, personal disappointments, and yet seeing hope in humanity, THE SHACKELTONS experience is reminiscent of a Sunday service. Their mash-up of psychedelic garage-rock and alternative rock roots brings flavors of THEE OH SEES, THE FLESHTONES, THE FALL, and THE PIXIES.

The band has already left an impressive mark with their debut self titled album on Loveless Records (2008) with major press from ROLLING STONE, SPIN, WASHINGTON POST, NPR, NEW YORK TIMES and more all heralding the band. The new album, Records’ more focused, bold and realized sound is destined to have similar effects to press and fans alike.
